Tournament Saturday July 20, 2013 – 1:30 P.M. Shotgun Due to the success of last year, the Julie Gough Memorial Golf Tournament will return to the historic Brackenridge Park, which less than 3 miles from the Marriott Rivercenter. Brackenridge was the original home of the PGA Texas Open and legends such as Walter Hagan, Byron Nelson and Sam Snead have won there. Golf Magazine has Brackenridge ranked as one of the top 30 municipal courses in the U.S. and one of the top 15 public courses in Texas. The course was designed by A.W. Tillinghast in 1915. Tillinghast courses include the famed Bethpage State Park, Winged Foot Golf Club and Baltusrol Golf Club. His courses have hosted the U.S. Open 10 times, PGA Championship 3 times and the Ryder Cup 1 time. Today Brackenridge serves as the home of the Texas Golf Hall of Fame so come early and enjoy the history. Since some of the participants have dinner meeting to go to after the golf tournament we have moved up the start time to 1:30 P.M. to better accommodate your busy schedules. Entry fee is $150 with net proceeds going to the Texas A & M - Commerce’s Agriculture Department in Julie’s names. Immediately following the tournament will be a buffet dinner and awards ceremony.
