****** 2011 Attendance - 1,536 Organizational ProfileThe Southwestern Fertilizer Conference (SWFC) is a non-profit trade association established in 1925, originally as a fertilizer grade hearing for Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. The conference has evolved into a meeting of great prominence for the fertilizer industry. Fertilizer is a multi-billion dollar industry essential to production agriculture. The annual conference is the major function of the SWFC. It's success allows it to provide substantial scholarships, grants and research funding for the industry. To date, the association has paid-out over $140,000 in donations to organizations such as the Nutrients for Life Foundation, Breedlove Food Inc, the Future Farmers of American, the Fluid Fertilizer Foundation and the Foundation for Agronomic Research. This conference attracts upper-level management and sales personnel representing fertilizer manufacturers, distributors, brokers and dealers. Individuals will attend from all areas of the United States, Mexico and Canada, with some participation from Europe, South America and Asia. MissionThe established purpose of the meeting is educational. However, networking is probably considered the main attraction for most of the attendees. Conference attendance is historically around 1,500+ people.
