Code of Conduct
The SWFC believes that the future of agriculture, and specifically the fertilizer industry, is best served when all of those in the community are empowered regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, and/or religious creed. The leadership of the conference is strongly committed to promoting and sustaining an ethical and inclusive conference.
This Code of Conduct is designed to outline expectations of behavior for individuals participating in the Southwestern Fertilizer Conference. These organizational values are set forth to be clear to members, leadership and staff. The core standards are:
Respect and uphold public laws that govern the industry
Be honest and fair in conducting the business
Respect the confidentiality of information gained through business conversations
Act fairly in all dealings
Promote an ethical culture recognized by others
Be responsible for one’s conduct
Refrain from inappropriate behavior and comments that are discriminatory, harassing, abusive, offensive or unwelcome
This Code is expected to be viewed as a demonstration of respect for one’s self, others and the resources entrusted to them. Those resources may include people, money, reputation, the safety of others, and natural or environmental resources. This is designed to create an environment where diverse perspectives and views are encouraged and valued.
The SWFC attendees will exhibit professional behavior in all areas of participation within the conference. Please be considerate, respectful and collaborative. The SWFC has zero tolerance for any form of discrimination or harassment, either in person or online. If you experience harassment or witness any incidents of unacceptable behavior, the SWFC asks that you inform SWFC@SWFertilizer.org or (512) 259-2118 immediately so that appropriate action can be taken. The SWFC reserves the right to deny participation to anyone who engages in behavior that is contrary to this Code of Conduct.
